#Product: The Racer Back Tank
Why: we wanted an easy-to-wear, loose tank top to throw on top of our bikinis at the beach, pair with jean shorts for a Sunday brunch, or layer with bling for a night on the town. Although this is only a sample shirt with one particular print, we’ll be putting a whole lot of different fabrics to work so be prepared to see this in a variety of gorgeous prints!

Right, so about that…
Well, we’re sorry! We haven’t gotten to that fitting just yet—you realise it’s like kind of crazy over here in Cambridge, right? Spring break is around the corner and we’ll be spreading ourselves around with not much time for updatin’.
But there was this recently: a poster session for all the social start-ups! We are keeping the poster. Doesn’t she look fannncy? Well, now you get to learn a little bit more about us.
Cheerio!

Summer time and the livin’ is easy… Yesterday we received the samples for the products that are coming out in the relaunch. We’re pumped. They still need some tweaking, but the initial response has been very positive. Going to do a fitting next weekend for the “small” size. A candid photo or two may get snapped—watch out!

Just a quick post to share with you something from the Lallitara archives. Yup, the classic men’s (or women’s!) tie was one of the first products we made—count yourself lucky if you snagged one from Lallitara’s first production cycle!

The #Process, Step 1: Sourcing
The process starts with finding the perfect saris. This past December-January, we headed over to India where we spent a month searching high and low. Can you believe these beautiful pieces, some delicately embroidered and others with amazing prints, just lying around going to waste? Yeah, we couldn’t—so we rescued them. Many of them were never even worn!
So how many did we get? Oh, about 200, and each piece is 5 yards of fabric! Basically, that’s a lot of fabric :3
